Eczema is a disease in which your skin patches become red, rough, cracked, itchy and inflamed with blisters and then it starts bleeding.
Appearance
In appearance is different from the mild stage to the severe stage of eczema. In mild stage, it looks like dry and flaky skin and in severe stage, it seems like cracks on skin and you feel itchy, rashly and scratching leads to redness of the skin.
Causes
Real causes of eczema are not identified but trigger factors that elevate the condition of eczema are soaps, detergents, wools, skin infections, dry skin, heat, low humidity, swelling, emotional stress, sweating and some allergens named as pollen, dust and foods etc. It also transfers from inheritance and no lab tests are present to identify this disease.

In eczema (Atopic dermatitis) wet dressing helps. So, you should use wet bandages. You can go to the hospital for wet dressing and you can do it at home too.
- Light therapy
Another therapy which is called as light therapy can be effective. This treatment is used for the people who do not recover with topical methods. In this therapy small amount to light is given to skin but this therapy has some drawbacks too. Long term use of it causes skin cancer. So, you should consult your doctor about the advantages and disadvantages of light therapy.
- Counselling
You should consult to the therapist if you feel bad and ashamed due to the condition of your skin and health for counseling. It makes sure that you don’t become hopeless and adhere to the treatments.
